When you do a mid range facelift, (maybe late-lift too) you have to junk the v8 air filter. ( don't know the td6) so there is slightly limited room, so you typically fit a universal cone filter, like a k&n type. Although you can get them for £10 this means you are now up and running. There is a spare pipe that you then find a miniature universal cone filter, and fit it on the pipe, as you can't typically plumb it into the old filter housing. This sits verticle near the rad. The new larger cone filter sits high facing the inner wing, it also needs a small stay bracket, to be sure it doesn't shake loose. You WILL get increased induction roar, when you pull away to overtake etc. Sounds nice, but it does sort of spoil the 'waft' of driving the Rangie around. It a small price to pay though for an updated look. I did mine as my headlights were falling to pieces inside. Mid range headlights are very affordable. Late ones are mega bucks.

I use an AEM dryflow filter, it's oil free and doesn't kill the MAF 2004 L322 V8 |

Can you run a bmc cda on it or piper cross viper? I prefer those styles and you can get proper cold air without heat soak |

I've been looking at the BMC CDA as i have used these before not sure if its an issue that the inlet is smaller than the outlet - this is by design but surely this restriction couldn't be good? |
