My 4.2 SC is a 05 built MY 2006 and although the manual said MP3 worked, I never got it working. Must have been one of those manual things (like the flip key it didn't have) where the manual is ahead of the actual car.

I saved mp3s into album folders and that works fine, reads the titles and track names ok.

I'd put in a Parrot MKi9200 which has an Ipod input connection on it. The install isn't the easiest on an RR as you have to run the cable to the amp in the boot, not to the screen, but a good installer won't have any problems putting it in. Current Fleet:-

I tried the mp3 route and it's ok but it doesn't read some of the track titles, maybe cos of copy of copy stuff. But it does work. I fitted a parrot to my wife's X3 and she loves it. The thing is you buy a car that cost feck off money new and it is five years behind the euro or Asian stuff. Buy an mf transmitter and stick the iPod to your dash with it. Trust me it is the least of your worries, my amp has gone twice and I am driving an Autobiography with a portable radio as my sound system. I have heard of people removing the CD player and using that input but maybe not on this forum? Do a google search it may pick up summit.
