I've discovered that someone in my FF's past has installed TV in motion. I've done the digital TV upgrade and added the reverse camera, but for insurance purposes (and the fact that personally I'm not comfortable with the faclity) I want to remove the feature - anyone know what the control box/lead looks like so I can find it and remove it?

Someone showing some common sense at last, well done nicksaab. Pity the forum encourages 'TV in motion' by providing instructions on how to fit it knowing it is illegal to watch on the highway. |

In the pre 2010MY cars that did not have the dual screen functionality, TV on the move allows the passenger to watch the screen - no one is saying you drive and watch TV. Discovery 4 HSE

No need to get on your high horse with me, I don't manufacture or sell these devices, just giving you a valid reason why some people wanted the device.

To be honest even though its fitted I wouldn't have the screen running when driving but I understand individuals reasons or rights to, but my garage has told me its the first thing insurance investigators check on TV equipped cars in the event of an accident 'could the TV have distracted the driver' - which is why I'm taking it out rather than leaving it in and not using the function! Nothing illegal about using the tv function whilst driving to tune into Freeview radio channels.

I thought my use was fairly reasonable - can't see why a video picture of what's behind me is any more distracting than a rear view mirror - and better than a huge blind spot.
