Try holding nozzle at the 9 o'clock or upside down position.

Land Rover issued a service bulletin about this and the fix was to replace the filler pipe between the filler and the tank.

As Joe says. Just put the nozzle in "upside down". Works a treat. Lloyd Barnes

Check you have not set the mis-fuel device. Look down the filler neck, if you can see a yellow plate blocking the filler neck you have set off the mis-fuel device and need to reset it. 56 TDV8 Vogue SE

I was at a petrol station the other days and the pump was painfully slow , I asked the attendant he mentioned that when the temperature gets to extreme low temps (-1 or lower) the pumps begin to play up at the forecourt themselves. Could have been the same with you if it's really cold where you are? 2003 Vogue 4.4 V8 Java Black |

That'll be the problem! In a rush the other day I started to put petrol in instead of diesel and it (luckily) blew back and stopped me just in time. Thinking about it, it's since that incident that it's been troublesome, and yes there's a yellow thing visible in the neck. I'll investigate later is it an easy fix? Thanks guys. Oh and yes Andy it's freezing up north! |

The pumps will often pump slower as the diesel is that bit thicker and they aren't designed well enough in the UK to cope with it |
